We are having a Dyslexia Awareness Day at East Hardin Elementary School on February 8th. The event doors open at 11:30and the presentation will begin at 12. This is a 2 hour presentation and there will be some booths with resources available. This is a free training for parents and teachers! Teachers will receive a 2 hour certificate of of attendance.

[05/09/20]   Cover Your Plants People!!!

Thank You Customers for buying all our plants this morning! It was a success! Now, go by or call Nan’s Flowers and place an order for a wrapped Geranium to be delivered to the local Nursing Home residents and staff next week. They are $15 Each.

[05/01/20]   Five Dollar Friday is tomorrow at AHS Greenhouse. It’s clearance time! We have close to 60 trays of plants for $5 each. The sale is from 9-12. First come first serve!

These geraniums are waiting for someone to sponsor their appearance at the local Nursing Home in Adamsville. The $15 sponsorship covers the plant, decorative wrap, card, and delivery to residents and staff. Call Nan’s Flowers or post order on their page or order with us.

Don’t miss Five Dollar Friday Clearance Sale. We have 60 trays of flowering bedding plants and veggies available. Tomatoes, Cayenne Peppers and Bell Peppers are the only veggies available. Below are pictures of what is left. We are selling everything by the tray. Thanks for your support!

[04/28/20]   Alright folks, we are having a Drive Up/Load Up Clearance Sale this Friday , May 1st at the school greenhouse. It will be first come first serve beginning at 9 AM until 12. These are plants that were not of good size during our last sale, plants that were ordered and not picked up, and miscellaneous trays. There are probably 40 plant trays and ten baskets left. The trays may be mixed and there may be a few plants missing. Everything is sold as is. Everything is 50 percent off the prices we originally had. There are a few tomatoes and bell pepper trays left. Some of the flowering plants I have left are impatiens, large and small marigolds, begonias, celosia, salvia, dusty miller, ferns, and petunias. Plants will be sold by the tray. See you Friday! No appointment necessary.

Our Greenhouse Program has saved 150 Geraniums for a special project that Nan’s Flowers and Gifts is coordinating. We want every staff member and resident at Adamsville Health Care to receive one. Just a special something to brighten the day. They will be delivered Mother’s Day Week. They are $15 each and will be in full bloom by Mother’s Day, May 10th. If you would like to sponsor a plant to be sent to a resident and/or staff member, please go by Nan’s Flowers , call Nan’s Flowers or go to their page and place an order. They can put any message you want on the gift card. Let’s show our appreciation to them during this time.

[04/22/20]   Thank You Customers of the AHS Greenhouse Business! We have sold all our plants in just 8 days. Please support your local businesses in the weeks ahead. Instead of going to the box stores to buy plants, Go check out Flower Friends in Gilchrist, Wildwood Farm in Michie, Highway 57 Nursery in Michie and Sweet Lips Greenhouse in Sweet Lips for your plant and landscape needs for the rest of this growing season. If I’ve left out any other local greenhouses please post it below. These are the operations I’ve heard that have opened up. Thanks again for your support.

[03/25/20]   Customers and Supporters of the Adamsville High School Greenhouse Program:
Lots of things have happened over the last several weeks with the health threats across our great country. We are like everyone else in trying to navigate through these uncharted wAters! We began planning for this year’s crop and ordering materials back in August of 2019. Our program got an early start and has a large selection of plants that will be available. Please stay tuned in the coming days for a list of the available plants and the revised plan of action in selling them. We have a wide variety of flowering plants and veggies. Please support your local school program. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Proud of these AHS Welding Students and Mr. Wes Johnson for bringing the first place trophy home. Congrats!

Spring is about to sprang! Don’t forget to come see us for all your plant needs. Here are a few pics of some the items we have available.

We are excited! The foundation for our new modern greenhouse has been laid. The greenhouse should be open for business during the next growing season. We will be working out of our older greenhouses for this season.

Alright Folks, we know it’s been dreary and wet for a while. Spring is right around the corner. Our students are enjoying preparing all your plants to go in your garden, flower beds, and patios. We have lots of ferns, petunia’s, creeping periwinkles, wandering Jew vines, and other hanging baskets . We will update in the coming weeks. Here are a few plants we are getting ready for you!

[02/07/20]   Ok Folks! It’s been an exciting week for the Adamsville FFA. The West Tennessee Speaking Preliminaries were held on Tuesday. Sisters Bethany Brown and Macy Brown represented our FFA Chapter very well. Bethany participated in the Prepared Public Speaking and Macy competed in the Creed Speaking Event. Bethany did a great job in her preliminary flight. Macy placed first in her Preliminary flight and moved on to the Finals today. Macy placed 2nd in the West Tennessee Finals! We are so excited! Macy will be competing at State in Gatlinburg in March. Congrats Macy Brown!

[01/29/20]   Congrats to the Students who represented the Adamsville FFA today at the West Tennessee Horse Evaluation Event at UTM. They placed 12th out of 23 Teams. Olivia Roeder was high scorer on the Adamsville Team.

Our students are working hard to provide high quality plants for all your planting needs in the spring. Come see us!

Adamsville FFA students are at the Equine Judging Clinic at UTM preparing for the upcoming Career Development Event today. Great group of young folks. Our future is bright!

If you look really close in the video you can see the baby tilapias.

Update on our Aquaponics System! Our orange tilapia have actually started to spawn little babies. The plants in the system are small tomatoes, herbs, and bell peppers.

Alright folks! We want to thank those who supported our Breakfast and Silent Auction before Christmas. We are now gearing up for our spring crops. Our new greenhouse is being constructed and we are excited about that. We have 180 baskets of ferns growing and we are starting all our other baskets and bedding plants in the next few weeks. Come see us in the spring!
