Do you know anyone who has kept true to their New Year's Resolutions? Nor have we! But maybe we're doing it all wrong.

Reflections of 2020 - A Message from Pili

Well, no one ever expected 2020 to unravel the way it did. However, like many businesses, Stillpoint Osteopaths showed resilience, adaptability, and dedication.

Against a backdrop of uncertainty, we kept ourselves open and viable. As a team we communicated regularly, working through steps to reopen safely, training, and staying connected while hunkering down in our own homes. Then we have you, our trusted supporters who - when possible, continued to seek their health care with us.
I am grateful to my sister for the many hours she committed, to my team for their commitment to offering safe healthcare, and to all of you for the roles you have played in our recovery during 2020. Thank you to everyone for coping with the measures we took to reopen and keep everyone safe.
The positives are that 2020 pushed me to reconsider how we offer our services. With research and consideration of the process, we offered telehealth consultations. This was so successful Stillpoint Osteopaths continues to offer this service. I also found it heart-warming to see a country really change its focus and try to be kinder, more thoughtful, and compassionate. This flowed through into our consultations with our patients.

I would be lying if I did not say that it has been a tough year. With some of our amazing team move on and going on maternity leave. What we didn’t predict was the shortage of osteopaths that would occur due to our border closure. This has left the profession - and me - struggling to fill vacancies in our clinics.

I continue to seek the right osteopaths to join our team in 2021, osteopaths whose values align with that of our team, and with the skills and knowledge to offer you a positive healthcare experience.

As we look forward to 2021, I would like to assure you that the Stillpoint team is fully committed your ongoing care as the country navigates the months ahead, and we look forward to keeping you updated of any exciting changes in the clinic.

I wish you and your families a happy and healthy festive holiday.

Just breathe...

[12/22/20]   "Its ok to feel stressed at this time of year, and most of us do, however when it extends beyond the mild stress associated with buying presents, wrapping, cooking and entertaining, it might be time to reflect on whether it’s time to reach out for support."

For those of you who don't yet know, our wonderful osteopath and super mama Te Marama, her partner Cal and son Turongo welcomed Waiora Awhina Inman into the world on the 30th of October 2020.
Waiora is already bringing much joy and happiness to her family and we were blessed to meet her a few weeks ago. She is a beautiful soul and much loved by her family and those around her!

EDIT: This appointment slot has now been filled!

We have taken a last-minute cancellation with Greg at 11.45am this morning. This is Greg's last available appointment of the year, so if you're interested, give us a call on 096389256 as soon as possible to grab it!
(Note, this is an existing patient slot and isn't suitable for a new patient who would require a longer booking)

For those difficult-to-buy-for family members and friends, we have Stillpoint Osteopaths gift vouchers available.

Fully customisable from amount of treatments or dollar amount - to your chosen osteopath, our vouchers are valid for up to a year from the date of purchase.

Just get in touch with Ashleigh or Keyne in the office to find out more!

A fantastic night was had by all at the 2020 Stillpoint staff Christmas party.

🚧If you've been in the area recently, you will have noticed road works taking place. With these works, several of our usual patient parking options have been coned off. 🚧

But don't worry! We still have our three dedicated Stillpoint parks at the back of the building, accessed via Edwin street. You may also find a free 1-hour car park in front of the shops adjacent to us (Mt Eden Cycles, Shoes Science etc), or on one of the side streets (Kelly st / Edwin st etc.)

We believe the road works shouldn't last much longer. In the meantime, if you leave a few minutes early to attend your appointment, you should have ample time to find a park!

We love our Stillpoint home on sunny spring mornings 🌞🌴🌅

With the holidays around the corner, it's a great time for your summer tune-up.
This is always a busy time for the team at Stillpoint Osteopaths, so make sure you lock in your appointment early to avoid missing out!

Call us on 09 638 9256 or drop us an email via our website www.stillpointosteo.co.nz to check availability.

We look forward to seeing you soon 😊

"An osteopath must know the shape and positions of every bone in the body, as well as that part to which every ligament and muscle is attached.
He must know the blood and the nerve supply.
He must comprehend the human system as and anatomist, and also from a physiological standpoint.
He must understand the form of the body and the workings of it.
That is a short way to tell what an osteopath must know."
