After immigrating to New Zealand in 2016, we found ourselves living in Botany while we house-hunted. We explored many areas around East Auckland but fell in love with Cockle Bay. The sea, the view, the village, the history - we love it all! So when we saw a beautiful, character filled quirky house up for sale just minutes from the beach we knew we had found our happy place.
I always wanted to run a bed and breakfast. I love people. I love their stories. I love to talk about my new country. I love to make people happy! So for me being a host is just perfect!
We set up the area downstairs of our family home as self-contained guest suite and opened the door to our first guest in 2017. Roll on three years later, I am now a long standing Airbnb Superhost with many happy guests having experienced the bliss of a bed and breakfast at our place, The Bay Guest House, in Cockle Bay.
