This year has put us all to the test, from our businesses to our community. As we get ready to welcome a new year full of new possibilities, we invite you all to take a pledge for the protection and preservation of our planet.

After a year filled with challenges, we are taking a few days off to share some family time. Our offices will be closed on the 24th, 28th and 31st of December 2020 until the 7th of January 2021 for the Christmas holidays. We will resume operations from the 8th of January 2021. We wish you a joyful holiday season and a successful start to the new year.

In December 2016, our new corporate identity was revealed to our team, and then to the public. Bearing the now well-known cherry-red colour and its cursor pointing toward the up right, this new logo is the flagship of our commitment to Make a Difference for the Better.

Créé pour encourager nos femmes managers à s’entraider et à se donner les moyens de leurs ambitions professionnelles, le Women’s Circle s’est réuni pour la première fois ce 25 novembre, Journée internationale pour l’abolition de la violence envers les femmes. En ligne avec notre Planet Goal 13, Harel Mallac promeut l’équité professionnelle et s’engage à réduire l’écart salarial entre hommes et femmes, ainsi qu’à avoir 35 % de femmes dans son management. Le Women’s Circle se base sur la méthode Lean In Circles, issue du célèbre livre de Sheryl Sandberg, « Lean In ».

Depuis sa création en 2009, la Fondation Harel Mallac apporte son soutien à plusieurs ONGs et associations qui promeuvent l’éducation alternative pour les enfants défavorisés et la protection de l’environnement. Ce mois-ci a été marqué par la remise de donations à Reef Conservation , Association d'Alphabétisation de Fatima et Flamboyant Education Centre.

This United Nations initiative aims at involving the private sector in the promotion of human rights, labour rights, the protection of the environment and the fight against corruption. Harel Mallac Technologies proudly hosted the Internet Governance Forum (IGF 2020) at its offices, in collaboration with Halley Movement on the 10th of October 2020. This multi-stakeholder forum was attended by the private sector, government, academia and civil society representatives, and focused on the theme “Connecting the Digital Dots in Africa”.

Our subsidiary Suchem is soon relocating to Fort George in Port Louis, to join forces with the MCFI Group. After acquiring Bychemex and Chemco last year, MCFI diversifies further its portfolio of solutions for the agricultural and manufacturing communities, by integrating Suchem’s acclaimed products and know-how.

In line with its Talent Development Programme, on the 27th of July 2020, Harel Mallac Technologies signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Technology Mauritius. “Through this mutually beneficial agreement, we will be able to engage in the innovative development and knowledge sharing collaborations to drive economic growth and create a more skilled and resilient workforce with a positive impact on the overall society.” Shateeaum Sewpaul, General Manager of Harel Mallac Technologies.

We are happy to share the publication of our integrated annual report for the year 2019. Nous sommes très émus par la mobilisation spontanée de milliers de Mauriciens et résidents pour contenir la marée noire provenant du MV Wakashio et protéger notre écosystème. Merci pour cette démonstration inoubliable de patriotisme et de solidarité !
