The Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) is the oldest non-profit making institution representing the private sector in Mauritius.

It is a multi-sectoral private institution representing the major sectors in the country. The MCCI represents the major sectors in the country, namely: industry, commerce, financial services, tourism, logistics, ICT, property development and other business services. As the key voice of the Mauritian business private sector, the main role of the MCCI is to defend and promote the interests of the business community in playing a leading part in the economic development in Mauritius. Our institution performs many functions such as maintaining a dialogue platform with the public authorities, enhancing socio-economic development by proposing strategies and policies, imparting investment opportunities, improvements and productivity in technology to members of the business community among others. The MCCI is perfectly tailored to grant a wide array of services through dedicated resources across the business spectrum: trade facilitation, trade negotiations, advocacy, advisory services, networking, arbitration and market intelligence.

Mission: To serve and promote the interests of the business community in playing a leading role in the economic development of Mauritius.

Operating as usual

Climate change has highlighted the importance of reducing dependence on fossil fuels and transitioning to renewable sources of energy. PV panels use solar energy to produce electricity which reduces the carbon footprint of firms while allowing them to be more cost competitive and save on utility bills in their business operations.

PV panels would thus enable SMEs to become more sustainable and competitive which is more vital than ever due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The MCCI is, therefore, conducting a small survey to get insights about the operational challenges faced by Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), especially in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, and to create awareness about PV panels and the free training on PV panel installation and maintenance that the MCCI will provide.

We would appreciate if you could fill in the questionnaire by Thursday 15th October 2020 ➡️ https://mcciorg.wufoo.com/forms/x1ypvhrl08ehfnw/
