[03/01/18] As Met Eireann has issued a status red weather warning the surgery will be closed from 1pm Thursday March 1st and all day Friday March 2nd 2018 for the safety of our patients and staff. It is advised that people only go outdoors if absolutely necessary. As soon as weather improves and warnings have been lifted we will be back to business as usual on Monday 5th March. It's still not too late to get the flu vaccine!
It's flu season and cases of influenza-like illnesses have risen since the end of last year.
The addition of the Australian flu hasn't helped matters as hospitals and GP services struggle to maintain the flow of patients.
Dr Ray Walley of D-Doc, North Dublin's GP out-of-hours service, says GPs are "run off their feet" with the amount of patients coming in with the flu.
So what can you do to keep yourself well this flu season?
