We have exciting new work that has recently arrived – here’s a glimpse - a new artist and a new maker –
Artist Kari Cahill is based at The Model in Sligo and paints using the landscape as a source of bio colour – she gathers materials such as berries, rocks, seaweed and lichen and processes it into live inks and pigments. This piece is titled – Oak Gall, Ash, Heather.
Annadale Brickworks – stoneware pottery made by Clive Fiddis in Belfast – it feels so good in the hand and is a complete joy to use.
Thanks Kari and Clive for sending work!

Thanks for all of your support - it is very much appreciated 💚
These beautiful lamps landed here at the weekend - they are made out of nautical charts by visual artist Aoife Banville. Aoife was given the charts by a sailor from New Zealand who lives on his self-built boat the Kiwi Roa. His boat was carrying too much weight with out of date nautical charts so when moored in Dingle he gave a big pile of them to Aoife and she made these extremely special lamps out of them. These ones mostly chart parts of the Pacific Ocean featuring exotic named places such as Ribbon Reef and Lizard Island! The floor lamp is €100 and the table lamp is €75.
Completely surprised and delighted to be featured in the Sept / Oct House and Home Mag as an Independent Irish design shop to visit this autumn - !
This is what is happening in the workshop today.. these are half way through the making process and still need to go through the glaze firing - so Mary Lincoln Handpainted Handy bowls on the shelves next week
Flowers and a beautiful pink Alice Fitzgerald print in the background. Happy Tuesday all.
Here we are - my Mum Mary Lincoln and I. About this photo - a few weeks ago the brilliant Teresa Lenane organised for music and portrait photographer Ruth Medjber / Ruthless Imagery to come to Ardmore to photograph some of us with our families as part of her new book 'Twilight Together - Portraits of Ireland at Home' - telling the tale of lockdown life. While she was here Ruth offered to to photograph us in the pottery - the experience was definitely one of the bright spots of lockdown. Thank you Ruth and Teresa! The book will be out on Nov 5th and we'll definitely be getting it for the shop.
We're open today - Sunday - until 5.30pm - the sun is shining and the farmers market is happening down beside the beach - a good Ardmore day!
