Its worth noting that this Thursdays event is also a private view for the exhibition of artwork at The Rude Shipyard showcasing Robert Battams new work.

"My new work is based on the ideas of simulation and retraction, exploring the relationship between representation and abstraction.
Two new paintings and a selection of linocut prints have been completed since September when I set up LIDOTA, a print studio and educational work-space.
The aim is to develop creative diversity, specifically in education."

[09/29/14]   Lyons' Den will be relocating from Hagglers Corner next week and moving in to a new space mid October. I'll be sad to leave Hagglers but I'm excited to be pushing on in a new direction. There will be some sort of opening, ya'll have to come down and have a nosey. More updates to come, watch this space!

Printing Sheffield : Museums Sheffield

Today I wandered into town to have a peek at the 'Printing Sheffield' exhibition at the Millennium Galleries. A vibrant and refreshing selection of different printmakers were showing there handiwork including the marvelous Leaf City Press, Kid Acne, James Green and Neil Woodall (the latter two also featuring in short video demonstrations, giving the audience a glimpse into their fascinating working process) I highly recommend a visit.
