LAST TICKETS AVAILABLE: Monogamy – For Better or For Worse

Hey everyone, our friends at Intelligence Squared are putting on an interesting talk on monogamy, on Tuesday, June 18. AND THE LAST TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE. Check it out!

exberliner.com Is “the one” ever enough? Or should we free up our loving? Perpetual questions here in Berlin. Intelligence Squared presents a panel of experts including Moira Weigel, Sadie Lune, Joe von Hutch and moderated by Damien McGuinness...

“When a lot of people hear ‘Eastern European’, for them it has to be Soviet, or to do with the Cold War or these busts of Lenin. Eastern European communism has turned into such a fetish – it’s gimmicky. There are roughly 25 countries in Eastern Europe with over 290 million people living there, you cannot expect them to all obey this one aesthetic, which is also based in the past.” Maya Hristova of @eepberlin
We explored Kreuzberg’s vibrant new Eastern European photography gallery @eepberlin, and spoke to its creator Maya Hristova about offering Eastern European artists a chance to construct their own narratives and form new aesthetic associations.
