I am here to help you because I care! Whatever you want to achieve there is a solution for you! Being passionate about fitness for several years showed me how many people are struggling and need extra motivation, this is why I became a Personal Trainer.

I'm studying at Fit College to become a fitness professional, because I am passionate about exercising and can't wait to get others to feel the same. I've just started going to the gym this year and would like to work in a gym myself as soon as I finish.

Hi I’m V & I hate getting my period 🤷🏽‍♀️
Are you feeling the same way? You’re not alone 🤍

Keep on reading for some easy adjustments to make that time of the month easier 🙏🏽

Now while having your period is a good thing, it shows your hormones are doing what they are meant to do (when not on hormonal contraceptives)

PMS symptoms can be super annoying and challenging.

While I’m personally don’t get crazy cramps I hate the strength decrease and struggle in the gym with everything feeling heavy 🙄 Feels? 🙋🏽‍♀️

Here is what you can do to get through it a little better because in the end we can’t change it but we can have steps in place to help 💪🏽

😴 Increase sleep and work on great sleep quality
💊 Take your supps like Magnesium and Zinc
✔️ Train with higher reps and lower weight. Don’t necessarily aim to hit PB’s
🧘🏽‍♀️ Go for a walk or do some yoga instead
🥩 Quality foods and extra iron sources
🍫 Chocolate for those cravings
📈 Increasing calories / allowing for more 70% whole foods & 30 % soul food

Most importantly listen to your body! Some of you might be totally fine and don’t have any symptoms this is very individual 🤷🏽‍♀️

Happy Monday - have you set your week up for success? 👊🏽

It’s not too late - let’s plan ahead and make sure we are hitting our goals 💪🏽

Things that help me & my clients:

✍🏽 Journaling and writing lists, nothing better than ticking things off ✔️

🥦 Meal prep and pre tracking meals in MFP - basically create your own meal plan . I do it with a few calories to spare so I can change and adjust where needed

✖️ Dividing meals and packing them at least the night before - it’s easy to run out of time and not do it in the morning - you’ll have less excuses prepping the night before when you’re getting your dinner ready anyway 👌🏽

🏋🏽‍♀️ Allocate Training days and times, if you lock them in like an appointment you are less likely to skip them

🌟 Schedule you time, make time for yourself and look after you, you deserve it 🤍

What are Carbs, why do we need them? 🥔🥖🍞🍌🍓

Carbohydrates are essential for a well-balanced diet and healthy body. They are the body‘s energy source and fuel vital organs including the brain.

Other tasks & benefits of carbs:

✔️Fiber (source of carbohydrate) plays an important role in digestive health

✔️ Carbohydrates are essential for the production of serotonin – serotonin is a neurotransmitter that regulates mood

✔️Essential for fuelling your muscles. I.e. no carbs -> no "toning"

Moral of the story, carbs are not the devil and you will need them to make progress 🥰💪

✔️There is no „better“ option as such if you do not have any other health conditions and it depends on when you are having carbs I.e white bread is easier to digest and better before training where quinoa will keep you full longer and benefits you that way 💪🏽

What’s your favourite carb source?

If I only had one it would be potato for me as it’s so versatile but I also can’t live without bread and fruit 🤷🏽‍♀️🥔🥖

Even with all the opportunities in the world you are required to do the work.

✖️ If you want to make changes you’ll need to change

No one can force you to do anything, your coach can just provide you with the best tools and accountability but you’ll need to take action yourself 💪🏽

Look over you actions this week and ask yourself:

✖️ Am I going all in?
✖️ Am I trusting my coach?
✖️ What’s holding me back?
✖️ Am I putting in my best effort?

Your answer to those questions will determine the results you’ll see ✨

So let’s level up, call out your bull s**t and set some action steps to achieve your goals 💪🏽

I want you to you to take yourself out of the situation - look at it from a person outside of your circle

✖️ Is it really that bad?
✖️ What would you suggest your friend to change?
✖️ What can you learn?
✖️ How can you deal with this going forward?

We often sit in our 💩, playing the victim and make it worse 🤷🏽‍♀️

You’re not the victim, you’re in full control and can pivot and change - let’s go, let’s take control, let’s be strong 👊🏽

This will help you reinforce positive self talk, there is no point of letting your inner mean girl take over with all those nasty things that you wouldn’t say to your best friend!
So watch the language you use when you are talking about you or to yourself 🙏

Part lll - from my first ever photoshoot, to my first ever professional Make up application, to my first ever styled shoot to my first ever paid gig to organising my own shoots and getting that confident to now get my clients confident in front of the camera 📸🥰

I had the idea of doing a photoshoot for a really long time but never had the courage to do it. 🤷🏽‍♀️
One time I reached out to a photographer but my boyfriend at the time made fun of me saying I’m only doing it for attention (although Insta wasn’t even big then haha) and stopped me from doing it - a sign to run hahaha

Aaaannyway a few years later I finally reached out to a photographer again and booked a session, just for fun.

My photographer was aaaamzing and soon I had shoots lined up quite frequently and got better and better.

Every single shoot is like a blind date 😂 you don’t know the photographer and have to get out of your comfortzone over and over again

But I’m so glad I did it! It opened so many doors! I even got my job at @bobridge_gym through a photoshoot 🤷🏽‍♀️

Yes it’s weird at first
Yes it’s scary
Yes all eyes are on you
Yes it’s awkward if you’ve never done it before

But I can guarantee,
You will warm up
You will look hot af
You’ll love your photos and look back at them
You’ll be happy that you did it
You’ll feel empowered and proud

I did a naked photoshoot 🤯🤯

Now while those are not going on only fans and soz mum and dad 🤭

This is my time to explain why I did it & why I started with strength training. 🏋🏽‍♀️

I’ll probably explain this in a few parts and start you at the very beginning - have a seat and read 🥰🙏

Little teenage V was always quite athletic, being that skinny girl, known for the six pack, known for being a good runner, known for eating what ever she wanted - not necessarily bad things right? 🤷🏽‍♀️

However, I’ve never felt feminine. I was the girl who got the period after everyone else, the one where the b***s never grew - still not dam it 😂🤷🏽‍♀️ I did not feel comfortable in my skin, hated swimming lessons and just thinking about wearing a bikini was a nightmare 🤯

The first guy I liked told my friends he didn’t like me because I was “too skinny”

So I gained weight, thinking I would get more attention from guys or be happier but the weight gain (5ish kg) made me feel so incredible uncomfortable that I quickly wanted to lose it. That also wasn’t me 🤷🏽‍♀️

Dad did low carbs so that’s what I did. I got obsessed. Stopped eating chocolate and did hiit and running. Those extra kgs came off just in time for my summer holiday.

So here we are back skinny, no b***s, no shape 🤷🏽‍♀️ packing my 3x push up bikinis to feel more comfortable around all my beautiful feminine friends 🍉

Then one day I decided, well, b***s ain’t growing but what I can do is grow muscle aka a butt and change my physique with weight training 💪🏽

This is where my love for exercise started.
I was still only doing it at home with a few water bottles and baby weights, but hey baby steps 💪🏽

From there I became more and more comfortable in my body but it wasn’t until again gaining 5ish kg as a backpacker until I finally signed up for my first gym membership.

Now 5 years later I’m still not at the „end-physique“ - honestly I think you’ll never be there
BUT, I am so much happier, I feel a lot healthier, I al accepting what I look like, I’m so much more confident and made this my mission for all my Team V girls 🤍
